XT Flowloop Structural Integrity & Fatigue Life Assessment
PDL supported TechnipFMC in the assessment of more than 50 subsea Christmas Tree (XT) flowloops used within critical subsea production systems. The project required detailed structural and fatigue assessments to verify the integrity of the flowloops under installation, operational pressure and thermal loading conditions, while maintaining compliance with demanding offshore industry standards.
Well Intervention Tower Fatigue Life Optimisation
PDL partnered with Osbit to support the design verification of a highly complex offshore well intervention tower for deployment by Helix Energy Solutions. The project required a detailed fatigue assessment under demanding offshore environmental conditions, while maintaining an existing design that was constrained by weight, cost and programme requirements.
Engineering Workflow Digitalisation Platform
PDL worked with the client to modernise and standardise its engineering workflow. The client relied on multiple engineering tools, databases and internally developed applications to undertake complex analyses, creating challenges with consistency, traceability and data management. PDL developed a bespoke desktop application that integrated existing engineering software, workflows and datasets into a single controlled environment.
